It’s been a minute, eh?

Team #ExcellenceIsReal has been hard at work getting everything ready for your copy of Excellence Book One Deluxe Hardcover (and any of your add-ons) to arrive in October, just like we promised! That’s right, everything remains on schedule and we’re keeping an eye on any potential delays. If they pop up, you’ll be the first to know.

Everyone here at Team Excellence are fans of a whole variety of comics from a diverse array of genres and creators, so we’re going to share some cool new comic book Kickstarters with you as they catch our eye.

Today we’re really excited to tell you about Forest Folk, from our friends up north at RAID Studios, which is like everything we love about newspaper strips smashed together with Looney Toons and a bit of that northern touch, eh?

Here’s how they describe it:

Meet Filburt the Fox, a jokester and a know-it-all with a knack for finding trouble. Lucky for Filburt that his best friend is Thomas, a happy-go-lucky elf, who's magic drawing quill can conjure the solution to any of their woes. MOST of the time...

In this collection of 105 strips, follow the shenanigans of Filburt and Thomas, along with the rest of the peculiar cast, including no-nonsense Barry the Bearista, Grumpy Cat Gus, and nerdy Benni the Bunny. Watch as they deal with playful misunderstandings and wacky hijinks during spirited adventures in the forest they all call home.

The folks at RAID are some of our favorite folks in the comics industry and responsible for some of your favorite comics – like artist Ramon Perez on Stillwater here at Skybound – so you know they always deliver a home run (or is that a slapshot in Canadian?).

EXCELLENCE Is Off To The Printers!

Everyone’s double, triple and quadruple-checked the details, so we’re sending Excellence Book One off to the printers!

That means we’re currently on track for copies to be delivered to our distribution center in September and then shipped to you in October!

As we all await the final copies in our hands, take a look at the beautiful final front and back covers!

We wanted to let you know that tomorrow you may see charges on your credit cards for Excellence Book One Deluxe Hardcover from BackerKit – and don’t worry, that’s totally legit! We’ll be processing any of the surveys that have been confirmed thus far, and we’re thrilled to get this book to the printers on Monday so you get your beautiful copies in hand this October.
